Dr. Zakia Subhani is a retired internist, who now spends much of her time in community service initiatives. She serves on the board of the Muslim Communities Association of South Florida, where she helps to organize community educational activities and interfaith programs. She is also an active board member of the Friends of Humanity International that aids in disaster relief, hunger prevention, and healthcare support to impoverished areas around the world. Her medical background and strong passion for community fuel her desire to serve as a board member for the UHI Community Care Clinic.
