Clinical Services
UHI provides a variety of services to the community ranging from in-clinic primary care to organizing health fairs in underserved areas. Any patient without health insurance can walk into our clinic to get immediate care or can make an appointment by phone.Primary Care
Primary care services are provided for adults and children (by appointment) Monday to Friday and half a day on Saturdays. Primary care includes but is not limited to sick visits, diabetic care, hypertension treatment, and well visits and vaccinations for children.
Specialty Care
At UHI CommunityCare Clinic, various specialists volunteer based on need and their availability. These specialties include Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gynecology, Psychiatry, Allergies, Neurology, Sports Medicine and Pain Management by referral.
Optometry
Optometry Appointments are available to our patients once a week. In addition, UHI is able to provide free glasses to our patients via our partner New Eyes.
Health Fairs
With this initiative, our goal is to promote well-being in the community. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to take care of themselves.
Telemedicine
In 2020, we quickly pivoted to offering telemedicine. Despite closing down for several months due to Covid-19, UHI still handled nearly 3500 patient appointments with a mix of in-person and telemedicine services.
